"Once upon a time" isn't that how most stories start? Ever since I was little, I grew up surrounded by fantasy and magic. I quickly learned how to build worlds in my mind and create stories of my own. However, Spark Photography came from one story in particular. 

      A long time ago, there was a little girl who was raised in a bubble. One day, the darkness found its way to her, seeping into her bubble and her stories. So, hidden under her little vanity, she looked the darkness in the eye and said, "I see you. I know how dark you can be, but I know you don't mean to be this way. You are desperate for beauty, love, and light, but you hold on too tightly and accidentally snuff it out. I get it. So let me make this vow to you, that I will always find a way to keep shining my light, I will show you and others what they can be, and I will always find joy in a bleak world, cultivate love, and encourage others to shine their light." There, in the darkness of her room, she embarked on a journey that would forever change her and came to a realization about the nature of darkness and light.

      Darkness doesn't need to be driven out for light, light must exist. However, her goal, which she has carried with her the rest of her life, is to not let darkness be the only thing to exist. To always find a spark and nurture it until one day light and dark are equals. So, on someone's worst day, they can still find one spark to get them through till tomorrow. 

 

This is the goal of Spark Photography. As I have grown up, I found photography to be the medium in which I can find, and share people and places sparks. These yearly portfolios and collections are my attempts to share these sparks with the world. So enjoy and come on this journey with me.
